Hi Heidi,
Yes, Egypt is a wonderful country. This was my second time there, 24 years after my first visit. My route was similar to the first time, though I saw many new things.
Cairo has gone from 4 to 20 million, Aswan is no longer a sleepy town, and Na'ama Bay is now just a suburb of Sharm el Sheik, but many new places and sites have emerged and become accessible. My daughter is familiar with some of Ancient Egypt, so it really made the country more interesting to her. And of course, Egyptians love children, so we were made to feel welcome wherever we went.
