I can recommend, as I always do to foreigners, "Sorgenfri" restaurant, it's in the centre. Pretty much 200 years old and has served open faced sandwiches and lager beer ever since. It's old, genuine, cheap and tasty.

Try the danish liver paté, "leverpostej" and a large Carlsberg.

I would also include Christiania as a must see in copenhagen...also when the weather allows it, many parks are just amazing to spend an afternoon on the grass, sunbathing!

I would NOT recommend Christiania, and do not consider it as being representable in terms of danish culture. It is highly controversial and not very popular in broad parts of the population, besides the leftist people of Copenhagen. I would rather recommend The National Museum, The State Museum of Art, The Carlsberg Glyptoteque, the various castles in and around Copenhagen etc. Also the Museum of Modern Art north of Copenhagen comprises several works of Warhol and other modernists. Not to mention the rich and diverse cafe and night life in the city centre as well.
