This might just be a British thing, but is anyone watching "Holiday Showdown" at the moment??

If you don't know the show, it's where they send 2 families on each others holidays - they always pick extreme opposites - kinda like 'Wife Swap', which I know you get in the States, but this is a holiday swap.

Tonight they have mixed up backpacking in Kerala, India, with a package holiday in Magaluf, Majorca, Spain!!

I reckon there's going to be mucho ranting2.gif

Me neither! But I'm so glad other people are willing to do it, for my entertainment, lol!

I do like the show - it's always really extreme swaps - tonight was the first in the series speak_cool.gif I don't think I've seen two families get on so well by the end of it before!

Tuesday's @ 9pm on ITV! Don't miss it - it just started again last week, so a new series. (We get Northern Irish ITV in case anyone's wondering why I get British TV in Dublin)

Aaargh! It's clashing for me tonight as the Desperate Housewives season finale double bill is on! (We're ahead of Channel 4 in Ireland!)

I have to watch DH - much to my disappointment as tonights' HS is a survival course in Scotland v's all-inclusive break in Lanzarote.

If anyone watches it, let me know how they get on...!

How are you ahead on Desperate Housewives?! No fair!

It feels like I have far too much to watch and far too little time... I will watch this Holiday Showdown eventually though, it sounds too good to miss

Hee hee hee, I was surprised at first too, but it's like that here for most American TV imports :-) We get it on the Irish channels here, but we also get most of the UK channels too (except I can't get BBC1 or 2 in my current flat, so missing 'The Apprentice' A LOT! (but again, we get an Irish version of that later in the year))

I'm just about to watch DH on Channel 4 at 10 - to see how behind you are!

I won't spoil it for you, but the finale of DH was sooooooooooooooo gooooooooooood!!!!!!!!! My flatmate and I were having palpitations!

Oh boy, The Apprentice is immense... there is an Irish lad in the current series here, maybe he could reapply for the Irish version?!

So how far behind are we? It must be pretty close now... I'm waiiiiiting...

Don't worry Sian - I watched the Channel 4 show last night, and you're not too far behind - but only because it went off air for a few weeks here while some football was on, otherwise it'd have been finished ages ago! I think it's only a couple of weeks at the moment.

Gekkhoq - you are gonna be on the edge of your seat with the finale! Lots of surprises, very freaky & funny all at the same time - love, love, LOVE it!!

The Apprentice is rubbish this year! They are all completely useless and so full of themselves. I watched the USA Celebrity Apprentice at the same time and it was awesome! 2 hours episode though which was too long. Joan Rivers should never have won as well as she showed herself to be a despicable person!

That's the show alright, thanks for the link Louise!

Only thing is, it's quite old - from 2003 - and it didn't say what the other holiday was going to be. They've made the series have a bit more bite nowadays, and really mix up the families - that lot seemed to be getting on too well!!! (I switched off partway through)

I tried to find a more recent one, but can't, but here is the press release for the episode I originally mentioned: Magaluf, Spain v's Kerala, India (there's a link to the second episode info on there too)
