We are from Chennai,India.
We would like to go for a Honeymoon in the month of September.
Kindly suggest us some cool place near India.
It has to be affordable and good.
We are planning a budget of 80,000 Indian Rupee for a week trip.

Please suggest a best place with best climate.It should not be hot and sultry.

I would go for ooty

I would definite go for cool place like Kodaikanal as it is not too cold and has got lots of places and sites to see.

Ooty is great too but its just too cold for my liking and you need a heater to sleep through the night and it will cost you an additional Rs 250 a night ( x a week, thats Rs1750)

Of my southern indian trip, i been to these city so far. But many recommended cool places such as these for honeymoon.

Ive not been to Goa yet, so i wont know but i be going to Goa only next July 2011 and good luck Sattu. Have you tried asking your wife where she would wanna go? Atleast you're making her happier that you agreed to her choice. You still got lots of time to plan ahead, do some homework, plan your stay and good luck!

p/s: A great tip: Since its a week away, let your wife make all the decision. You'll be surprised in the end of it. Trust me..
