Pork Banned in the UAE

There are two outlets that sell pork (in a special hidden area of the supermarket, along with a select number of hotels that offer pork dishes). In light of recent events however, the UAE has as tkaen a precautionary step and declared all imports and sale of pork banned across the UAE... Forbidden Pork Banned in the UAE Does anybody know if they have discovered whether the swine flu is passed on through consumption....I didn't think it was! Do you think this is an excessive precaution? Maybe its a way of getting rid of a "nasty" product.....I am going to go into withdrawals. -------------------- If you really look like your passport photo, you need the holiday!
