Hi there!
I'm trying to see a glimpse of Lofoten islands in 3-4 days, this July, independently, hoping to get by in some how lower budget costs.
With first look it seems not really easy.
I have concluded how to get to Bodo by train and that's all I have till now- this should be a convinient exit point to Lofoten.
Could you suggest a few ideas on how to get a good experience of the islands, perhaps by taking the ferry to which port(s), or some bus rides also to cities / villages/ nature sites ... which don't need a great deal of money to get to and around...
The prices I find for organised excursions seem too expensive, so I try to do it on my own- if possible, of course.
Any ideas could be great!
Many thanks hyper.gif

Thanks for the links, I had already spottted them.
Best if it could be possible to choose a couple of places as bases and make some nice bus rides around. Some hikes could be perfect, too, and some spots with good views and photo oportunities.
I understand that bus transport around the islands is not dense.
But I hope someone could know / have used an itinerary which permits some descent and low key sightseeing of beautiful parts of the islands.
Many thanks for your tips - I'm looking forward for more!
