This is a great place to find a volunteer project in Guatemala.

It's recomended in Lonely Planet and other guides as well and the best thing is that you don't have to pay anything (donations just if u like) to volunteer, not like many organizations around there..

Im currently volunteering in a school near Antigua and I found this project through them. They accept donations but is not compulsory to pay anything to them, is just pure volunteering.

They got hundreds of projects through Guatemala so theres plenty to chose from

Sorry to both 'guest's,

That was an inappropriate link and has been removed.

Cheers

I will be studying Spanish around Lake Atitlan this winter.
I have come across a volunteer project called CANDELA near San Pedro La Laguna. Has anyone volunteered there? I found it via a link from the San Pedro Spanish School. This school and Casa Rosario were mentioned in Lonely Planets Central America on a Shoestring.

Has anyone studied at either school?
