Ernst Getting There - Mosel valley travel question

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 2 Joined: 12-July 11 Member No.: 2111641 Nominate me as a Local Expert	I was wanting to go to Ernst in the Mosel Valley I will fly into Frankfurt .are there flights into there what is the best way ? is there a coach etc?? as an older Australian with no sense of direction Help !!!!

From Frankfurt Airport you may take a train to Cochem. Should take about 2 hours with a switch of trains in Koblenz. From Cochem there should be regular bus lines to Ernst or you take a taxi. Imho the best way to experience the Mosel valley however is a river cruise. There are a number of cruises between Koblenz and Trier that also stop in Ernst.

Many thanks for the great info , I did do a river cruise but it did not stop in Ernst .As my great grand father and all his family were born in Ernst I am looking forward to coming back and spend some time there
