Hello,

Can anyone recommend a car hire company they have used to travel between the Republic of Cyprus and North Cyprus legally. From what I've read, I understand that I will have to pay extra insurance when crossing the border into the north, so it is do-able, but the car rental companies I've contacted so far have said it's not allowed to take their rental cars across the border....

I've tried looking at public transport options but it looks complicated and I only have a week and want to see everything....

In case anyone finds this thread and was looking for the same answer, I finally found a car rental place in Cyprus that does allow crossing into the north in their 'small print'. You just have to pay the extra insurance at the border. The website is: www.cyprus-car.com
