Corfu, Suggestions on where to stay

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 3 Joined: 3-June 11 Member No.: 2006541 Nominate me as a Local Expert	Planning a trip to Corfu for early September; and it will be my first time. Have been looking at various sites regarding Corfu, but I'm still confused as to which part of Corfu to stay. I don't want to stay in Corfu Town and am not interested in staying in Kavos. Will be travelling with my bff and would like to stay some place that is picturesque but also has a village with some nite life. Also am interested in staying on or close to a beach. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 3 Joined: 3-June 11 Member No.: 2006541 Nominate me as a Local Expert	I guess I should have clarified. I am trying to determine which is the best area to stay. I like Kassiopi and Paleokastritsa for their beauty; but I want to stay in an area where there is a village with some nite life within walking distance. I am not interested in Kavos or Ipsos, which based on reviews I have read, are more appropriate for the 18-30 yr olds. I am also considering Dassia or Gouvia. Any suggestions?

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 3 Joined: 3-June 11 Member No.: 2006541 Nominate me as a Local Expert	I have done a great deal of research on various places to stay and am now leaning toward Kontokali Bay Hotel. As stated in my previous post, I want to stay in an area that is close to some night life. However, I do want all the amenities of staying in a hotel, as opposed to staying in apartments. Any feedback is appreciated.

I saw some photos on the right hand side of TripAdvisor and I wish I had money to go out there now. Have a look yourself.
