We are traveling in France this summer for a month. We'll be in Paris a week, a week along the Loire, perhaps some time in Dordogne and maybe Burgundy. We've only reserved hotels in Paris and some days in the Loire. We're reluctant to reserve more as we like to be somewhat spontaneous. We are also leaving open our mode of transport. We are doing the research but not pinning ourselves down. We realize this has worked well in other less-traveled countries we've been to but is this unwise in France?
