Hey guys & gals,

Has anyone ever been to Malilla in Sweden. I am trying to get there for a sporting event in Aug - but it is bloody hard to understand exactly how to get there. Has anyone got any good tips? I am coming from Ireland - but obviously would probably just fly from London.

Cheers,

Hendo hyper.gif

Hiya Hendo,

I'm sorry, I've never even been to Sweden, let alone Malilla. but here's my tip: don't forget about budget airlines! You can fly from Dublin, Ireland to Gothenburg, Sweden on Ryan Air for really cheap - less than 40 Euros probably (one way). Book your flight as soon as possible, as the longer you leave it, the more expensive the seats get.....

I'm sure you could then get some kind of public transport over to Malilla, but you'd have to look into the exact details.

Going via London would just add time and expense cry.png

cheers

Cheers Stevejames!

Yeah Malilla is a little one-horse town down the south of Sweden - or so I have just found out. I ended up calling the Swedish Tourism board and they sorted me out. Thanks for your help though - greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Hendo.

Try Sterling Blue, Denmark's budget airline, as they seem to fly direct from Dublin to Stockholm Arlanda.

Alternatively if it is in the south you can fly to Copenhagen and then get a train/bus up. This is likely to be cheaper than any budget airlines that fly to one of stockholm's minor airports as they are about 2 hours from town and cost an arm and a leg to taxi from.

Good luck, Sweden is great in the summer!
cheers,
tt
