Hi

I would appreciate any suggestions for reasonably priced hotels in Luang Prabang and Vientiane.

Also if anyone has any good suggestions for tour operators in Luang Prabang (we'r there for 4 days) or shouyld I wing it and arrange things locally?

For hotels: Check TripAdvisor, if you haven't already:
What does reasonably priced mean to you? There is one for $4 a night:

As for tours: I think you should just wing it. Just go around on your own and learn stuff from websites/books.

Luang Prabang has many options. One of the top of the line ones I remember seeing was $40USD a night. But it had nothing more then the beautiful guesthouses along the river which was much cheaper.

I agree with skylab, enjoy a night by the river. I saved much money when choosing guest house for the accommodating.
