Hi,
i think that your travel will be a wonderful one...
i suggest you to visit Tuscany, my region biggrin.gif (and here http://www.turismo.intoscana.it/intoscana2...caKm/index.html i found a lot of itineraries that can be done with motorcycle).
No doubt about Sicily, i think is one of the best regions in Italy!!
For the ferry, there are two different solutions: Ancona (if you give up with Sicily) or Brindisi (if you choose to visit the southern Italy)
I hope i've been useful...sorry for my english

Bye bye
Eli

Yes, I agree that Tuscany is pretty awesome.

Don't miss Venice...

As for Sicily, I've never been, but I've heard that yes, it is definitely worth the effort. Perhaps read a few blogs from the region:

I did a fantastic trip by motorcicle, all around europe... what a fantastic thing to do!!java script:emoticon(':speak_cool:',%20'smid_40')

Where do you think you want to start from? so I can get back to you with some ideas, also, to get a ferry to greece, you'd better go to Puglia, the heal of the boot , from there in 8 hours you'll be in Igoumenitza, the ferries are pretty ugly and uncomfortable, but after a long ride I think you'll sleep anywhere!!

A nice bike , if you mean to rent one, maybe BMW rt1200, very comfortable...

The loose plan is to get a Ferry from the UK to Denmark and then make my way down through Europe, Camping at night.

Rent a Bike! would solve one of my main problems, selling the bike after Greece, but the cost of renting would be very dear do you know of any cheap deals.

Would be glad to get your input and hear of any ideas you have.

Thanks for the reply
Sean

It's a good idea, actually I don't know who rents bikes, I rented one from a small company in Milan that doesn't exist anymore.
But for shore they won't let you give it back in Greece or sell it as you mentioned.
Roughly how many days in Italy, before you get the ferry to Greece?

Dear Riviera,
I am not sure I understood your post, but I experienced a trip by motorbike through Italy and Europe, and pollution, other than in some big cities is not bad at all, I can guarantee it is a wonderful experience...
