What a nice story! Glad you are liking it in Turkey.
What made you fall in love with Turkey?
We have travelled to most destinations across the world and had Two distinct favourites, Antigua in the Caribean and Rhodes in the Aegean, funny how our two favourite places were islands.
In 2008 we were looking to buy our Place in the Sun wanting value for money, HOT weather and within 5 hours of the UK there were many places short listed including Cape Verde islands off the coast of Africa as its climate closely matched that of the Caribbean, however its flight connections are not extensive with departures only from London.
We did look at Florida as there were many bargains to be had but our sister already has a place in Sarosota so we could go there any time. Finally we looked at the Europe and Bulgaria and Turkey were both short listed.
After months of work on the internet and on the recommendation of friends we selected Turkey as our preferred country and then narrowed down the district to Mugla. That done we short listed the property list to 16 viewings.
Our stay in Ovacik in May 2008 was one of the most life changing experiences of our lives. We loved the landscape of the Pine clad mountains, Turquoise Blue skies and Azure blue seas and it was HOT added to that the people are absolutely fantastic and so genuine it is true what they say A Turkish friend is for life not just for Holidays and I loved the respect and courtesy the Turkish people have for each other and visitors alike.
The culture, country and climate are all you need to make your decision complete. I am a practicing Christian thank God for over 25 years and had many opportunities to discuss my faith and beliefs with my Muslim friends and you know what we have an awful lot in common
