Has there been any place you have been that you would never go back to?

The only thing that would keep me from going back to a place is the fact that there are too many new places to still see.

Well...I don't think I would go back to northern BC...Prince George and Prince Rupert...very cold and boring. Even then, it wasn't that bad.

Other than that, I agree with you too.

I wouldn't go back to Panama City. Went there a few years ago with the hubby and a couple friends. There were tons of college students and high school students cruising the streets all night, drinking, being loud, and in one case, streaking. I'm sure it's great if you're a student blowing off steam, but at my age I need something relaxing and family friendly.

I can understand not liking PG or PR but I wouldn't write off northern BC just based on those two places. Did you ever spend much time in Smithers or Atlin?

It was Spring Break. Maybe I should re-phrase: I wouldn't go to Panama City during Spring Break again. Any other time, it might be great.

Moyale - right on the border of Ethiopia and Kenya on the Kenyan side. Horrible place - the only place in 15 years and I don't know how many countries of travel that everytime I stepped outside my room, I had to put on my "F*ck You!" face and stare down people in the street. Dodgy, dirty, and nasty. Even Goma in Eastern Congo felt friendly and safe compared to this place.

At one point I had said I would never go back to Mexico. But I was disappointed mostly because I was on a cruise in Cozumel which did not really represent anything at all Mexico. I'll definitely go back to go to Chichen Itza and Tulum in the Yucatan but definitely not touching Cozumel ever again.

I've been disappointed by the touristy areas of Mexico as well...I don't know if I'd say it was the worst place to visit....but constantly being heckled to buy trinkets and whatnot is pretty annoying.

Blackpool! Spent 4 days there on a course, I seriously had to drink to dull out the pain.

Only place i've been where they have door staff on in the middle of the day to stop trouble.

Fredrikton, New Brunswick is the only place i've left earlier than I planned! There was nothing to do (admittedly I was there over Easter weekend so everyone was away and everything was iced up) and the hostel was kinda creepy and waaaaay overpriced.

Haha, I did my Bachelor of Ed in Fredericton at St. Thomas. The sad thing? Fredericton is far and away the nicest city in New Brunswick in my opinion. Then again, I'm from Nova Scotia originally, and it was part of our residency vows to make fun of new Brunswick. smile.gif

Well maybe you're onto something - I thought Halifax and NS MUCH nicer than Fredricton and NB!

Well, "never say never"!

However, I don't plan on going back to Barcelona, maybe not even to Spain, but I suppose if I had the chance, I'd go. There are so many places I'd go first though.

What about the Bay of Fundy? That's pretty incredible. I liked New Brunswick a lot!

The New Brunswick side of the Bay of Fundy IS beautiful, but it was our theory that this is because it is just across the bay from Nova Scotia, so some of the beauty of NS spilled over from NS. smile.gif

Has there been any place you have been that you would never go back to?

Maspolomas - Gran Canary
I went with a group of family to celebrate my 50th birthday and the whole thing was a complete and utter disaster. Our hotel was not centrally located so there was a long walk or expensive taxi ride to get anywhere. The place was full with pervos and weirdos form Transezuals to Bebauch Naturists exposing themselves on the famous sand dunes - not my bag
