Hi

I am looking to spend some time in one of the Eastern European countries. I'm thinking of going outside the EU, as I will probably have more chance to explore those countries that have already joined the EU later.

One thing that will help my trip will be the ability of local people to speak English. I understand that some countries are better than others for this, so can I please have your experiences?

Also interested to hear how these countries compare for cost of living.
