If it's a young baby, then that's the only way to go. It just depends on what you want and the kind of trip you're taking, etc. Some people will just want to use their own. Some people will even use theirs for taxis also. When my son was just over a year, we flew to Seattle and met my in-laws up there. He flew in his car seat. We rented an Expedition (there were 7 of us) and we drove all up through Vancouver, Whistler, Victoria, Whidbey Island, and back to Seattle. And my son had his own car seat that he was used to. Our carseat is (I forget the designation) but it's approved by the aviation commission (or something) for the baby to fly in with the base ofcourse. -------------------- ~Susie 'Yesterday's the past and tomorrow's the future.
