In Transit Rules in Las Vegas, Can we leave the airport?

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 28-December 08 Member No.: 265422 Nominate me as a Local Expert	Flying into Vegas from the UK, and have a 20+ hour lay over. My g/f and I would like to leave the Las Vegas airport to get a hotel and do some shopping for the night. My question is, since we are "in transit" are we allowed to leave the airport and head into Vegas before our flight home to Canada? I've tried to call and email our Orbitz travel agent but no luck. I hope to get some good input from the travelers on here. Cheers!
