Jeremystravels inspired me to start this thread, after the fun of the "coldest ever" thread.

The hottest I've ever felt, must've been in Bangkok...it was about 34C...not too hot, but I think that's the hottest I've ever been.

Mine has been 51 degrees C last summer (july) in Dubai....phew, I think I would have preferred Quebec in February that day.

I'd say around 40 degrees C at the southern tip of Thailand.

Hmmm.. New year's eve last year in Melbourne. Somewhere around the 46C mark. We were all huddled under the air-con unit with stubbies and guitars. Top day. This year will be similar. The weather in Phuket right now is peaking nicely, though this year will be stubbies and guitars on the beach, not under the air-con unit.. thumbsup.png

As for 'hottest ever felt'.. On Koh Phi Phi a few months ago. Like the idiot that I am I picked up a long thin Thai red chilli that had been blistering in the sun all day and ate the whole thing before a crowd of shocked locals and deeply curious tourists. I will never be able to convey the pain and trauma. Ever..

I went to Palm Springs and Pheonix, Arizona, on a holiday and the temperature was 48 degrees celcius.
Very Very Hot.....we could not even stay in the outdoor pool it was too hot...the streets were empty and everyone was either in their house or in a mall if they did not have air conditioning in their homes!!!

Hiking up to a viewpoint on one of Ang Thong's islands in Thailand on a cloudless day. Didn't know it was possible to get that sweaty.

Death Valley in Summer. Was 114f / 45c. However there was no humidity so it was actually fine to walk around in - not for long of course.

San Jose, California: 115-F (1977). sweat.gif Worse -- I rode thru it on a bicycle. That heat hitting bare skin at high speed feels even hotter. frantics.gif

Eilat, Israel in May - hot dry desert heat or Chonqing (one of three furnaces), China for humidity, t-shirt soaking wet 5 minutes after leaving the hotel

Ha! I remember being in Acapulco a few year ago and the humidity was insane. I went for a 5 minute walk and managed to completely soak through my t-shirt! Never known humidity like it.

I think the hottest I ever felt was in Vegas about a week before reaching Acapulco. It was 46C with hardly any humidity. Even breathing was hard! I can vividly remember driving back into Vegas at 9:30PM having been to the Grand Canyon and the thermometer read 103F (39.4C)! Unbelievable heat

I live Oliver B.C. Canada and summers here are in the 40's. I guess it is 45 that I remember being the hottest. Or I could be way off on this question. It could be a question for the ladies. drool.gif

Wellll, it could be either or really tongue.gif 45 is hot. I wouldn't really want to be in weather much hotter than that. I find pretty much anywhere in the 30s ideal.

The worst was in Jaipur, India this past May. India was experiencing a heat wave during the Hot Season and it got up passed 45C plus a good 35% humidity. The worst is that there was no a/c because of the rolling brownouts the government was doing on purpose to save energy. There was no electricity at all between 10am-1pm. I thought I was going to die of sweat.
Cambodia wasn't as hot but the humidity was killer. I was sweating all the time, day and night.

A few places i've been to were pretty damn hot.

Tunisia in the summer, something like 47C

Lisbon in August is unbearable with averages of 37C+

Mexico was probably where it was the hottest at night, one evening it was 40C at 9pm

Beja in Portugal, the whole region in the south of Lisbon is slowly turning into a desert and every summer temperatures go up to nearly 50C! No wonder people have the reputation of being lazy over there!

I think I would say Baker, CA...it was about 121 F. Felt like an oven. The town is aptly named!

I think it was at least 45 at the Valley of the Kings the day that I was there in August, it was hard telling the difference since it was hot. 40 vs 45 has no real bearing on me to tell the difference, in the desert at least.. I have a picture of a sign in Aqaba, Jordan that said 40°C at sunset. I know for a fact that we hit 43 a few days in Aswan.
