So many times, New Year's plans fall through.

What are your plans for this year?

Generally Darrenstravels' New Years are the same, although that's no bad thing. Normally its a house party, with the same friends each year, with extreme amounts of alcohol, chocolate, board games and bizarre computer games that require you to sing and play drums. Come midnight the music is cranked up, the action gets slightly more debauched and it doesn't stop until mid afternoon on New Years Day, when we go for a large festive meal in a local pub.

It's a great time, as for most of us its the only time we get to see each other and really let loose, with close mates and lots of fun. Some years its actually been the highlight of the whole year.

Sadly though, this year is looking barren, and it may be that Darrenstravels finally turns into his Dad, stays at home with Mrs Darrenstravels, watching Jools Holland and realising that the fun part of our lives is over.
