How can I come from Vancouver to Resolute by drive

The typical way to get to Resolute from Vancouver is via Edmonton and Yellowknife. It is possible to drive to Yellowknife from Vancouver but from then on.... no roads. There is a winter ice road to the mines north of Yellowknife and even if you were able to get access, they will not get you to Resolute. At some point you would need to go by snowmobile to Cambridge Bay and then from there to Resolute. Of course, without a reliable guide, and the willingness to partake in very long, cold and tiring treks, you would have no hope.
