i want to go Koh Chang and would like to know what people are thinking about this island, where to stay and what to do ?? i know it is developed already but i prefer like this, i don't want a peacefull island...party, shop and good beach around, not too much people where i sleep and manything to do with a motorcycle...

Hey Lisa, it's fun to read some blogs from people who have been to Koh Chang recently. Here are a few I found:

ko chang is a decent island and is not too developed but is not rustic. if you are looking for a party and shopping then i would say go to ko samui and if you want the full moon and drunken backpackers then head to ko phangan. ko chang is a bit overpriced and does not offer all that much in the ways of party or shopping. it is pretty close to bangkok which is a plus but you may be better going to the other places i mentioned.....or if you have time go to them all. ko phi phi is also a pretty good party island and ko tao has some really nice beach bars with the fire shows and techno dance music all night.....no shopping at ko tao though

I stayed on Koh Chang a few times for a few months total. I'd agree with Neil. I'd have to say that mostly I relaxed and had food and drinks with friends but I wouldn't consider it a real party island. ofcourse you can always meet people but it's much more laid back then some of the other islands mentioned, at least when I was there. I think it is much more developed now though then when i was there.....

Yeah, the bonus (for some) is it's close to Bangkok but really, you can get to alot of other great islands too in a day or so. Considering it only took us a ten hour train ride and a few hours on the bus to get almost to the southern tip of the country and around there there are plenty of islands to choose from.

Ko Phangan is the party spot, to me, annoyingly so. Phi Pi isn't that far behind. But, if it's party action you're looking for with some shopping and beaches thrown in, those are good choices for you.

lunthom! i don't understand what you mean, salakpet is a city right ? and so where i can find this pakage ? Do i have to go and visit Salakpet ?
wich waterfall the best in Koh Chang ?
