Hi everyone,
I have just returned from a trip to Mexico, and wanted to mention a new hostel in Merida Mexico called El Casa del Tio Dach on street 61, between 50 and 52. It is 500m from the main plaza with the Cathedral, and each room has its own beautiful and clean bathroom with 24 hour hot water. The owners are Edwin (it was his former family home) and Carlos. They are extremely helpful and keep the place friendly, spotlessly clean and fun. They even provide a nice breakfast every morning with real filter coffee, local breads and fruit.
The hostel is listed on some internet web sites, but opened too late to get into the guide books. It's cheaper, safer and cleaner than most of the other I have seen in the city, and in Mexico as whole - so you can book with confidence. I even arrived at 1:30am due to a flight delay and they were ready to greet me with fresh towels and a beautifully cooled room.
Can you tell that i love the place! Anyway, it helped to make my trip fabulous so I thought I would pass on the information.

Thanks Starlagurl, that's a great idea. I will get on to it right away. Hope it doesn't get so popular that I can't get a room there next time I am in town!
