Hi all,

A friend and I are planning a trip to Iran this coming March. However we found out that the period we will be visiting happens to be the Iranian New year, therefore we are not too sure if we should postpone our trip and what are the impacts to tourism during this festive period. We are looking into visiting Alamut, however not too sure how to get there. From our preliminary research we found that there is trains plying to alamut, but not too sure is that true. Also we are concern about interstate travel. as the airfares and train fares are not exactly widely available in the internet, we are not too sure for example, how much would a trip from Yadz to Shiraz cost by domestic flight. How much should be be budgeting for a 10 day trip in Iran? We are looking into visiting Tehran, Isfahan, Yadz, Shiraz, and either Parsagarde or Bam.

Dear friend,
I think it is a busy time to visit Iran since the monuments are crowded with people. But it has some advantages too. 1. Temperate weather 2. you meet many Iranians
Alamut: There is no train going to Alamut. From Qazvin, there is a windy and mountainous road to Alamut and takes 3 hours to go there.
