Anyone got any news?

I will be there (Suwannabhumi airport) this afternoon. So maybe tell you more later.

In the short term, if you are planning a holiday to Thailand and you are a:

a) relaxed and normal human - then OK, never mind, keep coming and you'll be OK. Maybe there is a chance that the political situation may impact on a small way on your travel plans, but more than likely, you'll see none of it.

b)stressed, worried, particular person that needs everything as you want it - don't come. Perhaps you will be disturbed and your plans will be interfered with. Perhaps the food won't be too your liking, or the temperature will be too hot or too cold, or... So stay away for your own safety.

In the longer term????? If things keep escalating as they are with no end in sight, I suspect that within 5 years Thailand could easily fall into a civil war and tear itself apart. That would be a shame, but that's what you get when powerful rich greedy selfish people fight each other for control of a country.
