So I'm reasonably sure that November is not exactly the most popular time to travel to France which is why I recommend it. The only down side I can think of is the unstable weather in the north. about.comWhat it doesnt mention is that November is truffle season in a few regions in the south such as Dordogne, Gard and Provence. As they are a deluxe product, I'm not suggesting that you buy truffles (very expensive) but it is possible to go truffle hunting with local outfitters and their pigs/dogs for an authentic rural experience in France. Its also possible just to enjoy a truffle meal in a local restaurant in the regions mentioned above.
