Im currently trying to plan my route around Thailand and need some advice about the best and easiest way to get from Koh Phangan to Singapore.

Right heres the situation: We're planning to hit up the full moon party on 23rd September (2010) on Haad rin beach. We have a flight leaving from Singapore to Sydney on 27th September at 9.40am.

I know the full moon party deal is that you have to book for a minimum of 7 nights so if we were to leave on the 24th September and catch the ferries etc what is the best way of getting to Singapore (Air Asia, train etc) how long would it take and whats the best place to get them from?

We are thinking of somehow getting to Phuket (dont know how easy this is in a short time frame) and catching a flight from there. Are there any flaws in this plan?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Many Thanks!

Will.

That sounds like a good plan. You could also get up to Bangkok and fly out in time leaving from Surat Thani. Just hop the ferry to the mainland, grab a bus or train to BKK and get out via the airport there. It's only worth it if it's a fair bit cheaper though....

a. Songserm Express Boat: leaves from Surat Thani jetty twice a day: at 8:00 and at 14:00. The trip to Koh Phangan (via Koh Samui) lasts about 4 hours.

Train from Surat Thani to BKK is about 7-8 hours. So that's about a day's worth of traveling altogether.

What does this mean? What "deal"? I've been to many FMPs in Thailand and have never had to swing any kind of "deal". Just curious.

When I said 'deal' I didnt mean it in the literal sense, just southern English slang for 'situation'. Lol

Btw I love the fact that your quote at the bottom of your post is from Kung Fu Panda! biggrin.gif
