Just to add, Ski Dubai is covered by their own insurance if you have an accident (which I was really surprised at because this doesn't occur much in Dubai)...I know this from first hand experience....why?

I had a nasty accident last weekend and my leg is now in plaster for the next 2 weeks! Not broken but some major ligament damage....and I was on the red run......the attendants were excellent and took very good care of me until I was off the slope!

Wow, that is really bad news ..... I hope you heal up quickly! Was that the first time you had gone skiing there?

yes and it will more than likely be my last as I won't be skiing for quiet some time! I am slowly on the mend with the aid of lots of drugs!

Oh my goodness, get better soon, Rani!

What's the red run? A hard one?

I looked up the prices for this once, it is really expensive by my standards. I think I'd rather spend the money and go dune surfing instead.

Yeah it is not cheap. But I had a 2 for 1 voucher from The Entertainer Guide Dubai...which saves heaps....1,000's of vouchers in it....

I don't think I would pay full price though

It's really nice. The Indoor Ski Resort is located in the Dubai Emirates Mall, one of the largest shopping malls in the world.Ski Dubai is the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East and offers an amazing snow setting to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing or just playing in the snow.

I am sure there are plenty of people that would not be interested in an indoor ski centre...but for many people this is the only time they would ever see "snow" particularly in the height of summer when it is 50+ outside. It's just another thing in Dubai that is there for entertainment purposes.
