Anyone been to a martial arts school in china or anywhere else in asia? I did some research and you can take classes which last several weeks for less then $10usd a day which provides you the school, food, and a place to sleep. Seems like an amazing deal to get good exercise and experience the culture.

That would be a wicked thing to do.

Probably in Thailand you can get a very good education on Muai Thai and it can be really affordable, even can participate in tournaments. Few of my friends do it and even make a lot of money. You just need to go to any sports gym and ask about that!

If you’re fascinated with Lee Bruce and want to appreciate the Kongfu culture in depth, just come to the birthplace of kung fu-Shaolin Temple in China. It’s located in the Songshan Mountains of central China's Henan province. There’re many martial schools there attracting more and more students from all over the world of all ages. These schools are considered to be constrained by government and formal. Search keywords like Chinese martial school in Henan on Google, make your decision after checking the qualification and reputation of some top shools carefully. Don’t be confused only by unfairly cheap price. Do your research first, and I would like to get more information for you later. Feel free to write to me ,service@chinaprivatetravel.com.

Thailand is a good place, but i think china is better.

Not necessarily, all depends what you're looking for. Some of the Muay Thai schools here are exceptional..

There are quite a few schools in Yunnan, China, particularly Dali and Lijiang.
For example up the hill in Dali is a temple where they teach, and just outside Lijiang at Baisha, a guy is starting up a small school teaching tai chi and other martial arts.
