Would you leave a (stranger) to stay in your home? angel1.gif

How would you feel if you exchange some rooms of your house this summer with a family you never met before but just exchanged several e mails. unsure.gif

Have you ever tried it?

I am doing it this summer....with some friends. hug.gif The first family is coming from Australia and I am giving them the small appartment in Athens for some days, and the others are friends from London who want to come to Athens and attend a Music Concert.

Are you willing to exchange yourselves? hyper.gif

In any case personally I think it is worth it.

On the subject of sharing your home (or staying in a stranger's home), but not necessarily "swapping" it...

There is a wonderful relatively new website called AIRBNB.COM in the US that lets you safely post your spare room, apartment, home, or just your couch for travelers.

As a user of the site on my last trip to New York City, I rented the bedroom in a tiny apartment just a few blocks from Times Square. The host couple was so gracious, fixed me breakfast to order each morning, respected my privacy but were eager to have friendly conversations when I wanted. The place was spotless, and I would definitely recommend the web site to travelers as a resource for less expensive travel.

I am not sure how many international places are listed, but for the USA, and especially the larger cities, you can't beat it for value. Check it out. (I don't work for them, it is just a fabulous resource.)

Thanks for sharing because members might be interested. flowers.png

I would probably consider it if I fly to the United States.
