My daughter has to choose between a job placement in Kigali, Rwanda, or Phnom Pen, Cambodia. What do you know about either that might help her decision?

Wow, what a choice. What is she doing there? The same job in each place?

Yes, she's with a relief agency that works in both countries. She'll be following the work with a video camera.

That's awesome.

I've never been to either of those places, but from a journalistic standpoint, I'd go with Rwanda, because I think the political situation would probably make for a more interesting video that would get more attention in the media and by regular people when she's done.

It's sad to say, but Rwanda has become increasingly "sexy" in the media and in the public consciousness in the past few years. I think a doc about Rwanda would bring more attention to her NGO and the work that they do there.
