As the Pope's tour of France comes to an end, I'm taking the liberty of highlighting some TravelPod blogs about people who made their way to observe Sunday mass with the leader of the Catholic Church.

Schmans1 took some incredible photos, just steps away from Pope Benedict, before he delivered mass in Vatican City.

Rnriggins watched as over 250,000 people lined the streets of Paris to hear the Pope speak. He took the opportunity to head to the top of the Eiffel tower, just in time to shoot some great aerial photos of the city, teeming with life.

Carneyt2 bluffed her way into World Youth Day ceremonies in Sydney, where she came upon gigantic crowds of pilgrims waiting for mass with the Catholic leader.

Have you seen the Pope? When and where? Would you go and see the Pope if you had the chance?

Hmm..... No, afraid not.

Mainly because I don't think he'd come and see me if he had the chance, so I won't be paying him the same courtesy!

No, not for me, I don't hold religious beliefs so it wouldn't mean anything to me.

I'm also not religious, but I am curious. I would like to attend mass just once with the pope leading, but I get the feeling that I just don't have the zeal required to make it happen. Surely it must be extremely hard to get that opportunity, no?

Well, from the blogs I read, all you had to do was show up. But, what you got to see, was just the pope on a big video screen... Not too exciting.

mass with the pope is usually held on wednesdays at st peters square. Most of the groups there get the good positions along the route of the pope mobile. It would be wise to check if your country has an embassy to the holy see and drop by so they could get you a good spot to view the mass.

We saw the Pope in St. Peter's Square.

Our Parish Priest wrote a letter in our behalf to the Bishops Office for US Visitors to the Vatican. They directed us to where to pick up the tickets to get to St. Peter's Square which we picked up the day before the mass. When we went the guard did not really care to look at the tickets as if it was not necessary.

Anyway, to get a good look and a good shot of the Pope make sure you stay either to the very last or first row of group of chairs. The big spaces in between the group of chairs is where the Pope passes in his "Pope Mobile".

Did you find it worthwhile to attend the mass, bakasyonista?

What I mean is, a good look and a good photo op..........

I did not find it worthwhile to attend the mass. We went in July and it was really hot. There was no shade at all. Some people had umbrellas with them. It was a huge open area and I found it difficult to concentrate for the mass. We left and explored the Vatican Museum instead.

Ah, I see, just as I suspected. I guess he would recite mass in Italian, right?
