I want to buy a travel book for the Philippines and seem to be looking at only only one option which is LP.
There are others out there like "Philippines Travel Guide by Jens Peters" seems to be the runner up on the LP version.
If anyone has any CURRENT experience form real life use with CURRENT Philippines travel guides please let us know what you recommend and why.

A Google check using "useful travel guides for Philippines" will produce some more suggestions.

There is a whole bunch of travel forums that you can use for specific questions. Use Google search and enter "travel forums for Asia" and you will get more suggestions. There are also several Expat Forums for the Philippines and other countries that also may be helpful.
