Hi Guys,

My name is Norina, an avid traveller..well maybe the 4 moles on both my feet got me this way hehe. I started travelling since 2005, my graduation from college. Only work gets in the way of my trips and of course, the lack of travel buddies. I am an outdoor person, I feel like suffocating indoors. I also do mountaineering stuff when I get the chance. I post my outdoor sojourn here as well, to showcase rainforest here in the Philippines. I have to admit, I haven't scoured my country well. Sometimes, being a local will make you take for granted the treasures hidden within your own place. But that will change now, since I have lists of must-see's around here. The islands here are beautiful..

I travel to de-toxify, to de-stress and to see a lot, the world is such a beautiful place. As an Arab proverb goes "Who lives sees much. Who travels sees more." ...and I do plan to live long enough to see more dance.gif

Looking forward for more posts..and to meet up with you guys along the road smile.gif

Awwwwww, that's a very sweet proverb, and so is your take on it. Welcome to the forums, lady ina!

I can't help it, I always have to ask: Where are you going next?

Hey thanks... smile.gif
I've mostly travelled around SE Asia..I plan to see more of the Northern parts of the globe..where it's a big colder than the ones I've been hehe. And where I can understand, since most of those places speak Mandarin and write in Sanskrit crazy.gif

So hopefully....hehe. I'll prolly have to save up a lot for that.

I suggest you scour out of Bangkok..but if your staying there, the street market at night is fantastic and cheap smile.gif it's called "talat", it's everywhere. You have to practice how to bargain hehe. You could go to Siam Paragon and CentralWorld..they are connected, and owned by the King. Don't forget to go the his palace, and it closes at 3.30pm. (we got there too late).

Also go to the Baiyoke Sky Tower which is 300m high, it's a revolving tower you could see the whole of Bangkok...

If you have enough time, go to Surin where the elephant training center is. a bit far, but worth it..and an hour from that is already the Cambodian border if you wanna cross as well smile.gif

Loads to see really smile.gif

Hi Norina,

Welcome to the forums.. thumbsup.png

Well into the mountain side of things too, and plenty in SEA to keep me busy for a while. Will be over in the Philippines at some point in the not too distant future, at least after Indonesia. Hope to see you around, that's a great intro by the way.. smile.gif
