The best place I have been so far has to be the South of France, mainly St Paul d'Vance. I love it (not necessarily because its France) but because these small historical medieval towns just blowme away and I would love to live in one, whether its in France, Spain or Italy! I dont live there right now as I live in Japan, so can't be in two places at once! LOL!

QUOTE(starlagurl @ Aug 26 2008, 09:03 AM) I was having this discussion yesterday and it sounds like an easy question but it's not.
Out of all of the places you have been, which one is the best?
Why?
If you have one and are not currently living there, please also tell me why you are not living there at the moment.
Oh definitely Bali! The reason I am not living there right now is because I am Indian and live in Bombay....and its difficult for us to relocate abroad. I have longterm plans though....

I'm with Scott on this one on two counts: New Zealand is in my top 2 or 3 - lived there for a couple of years, loved the attitude of the people as well as the amazing variety and beauty of the country. Very importantly met husband there! There are lots more places for me to see and what I'm doing at the time matters just as much as the place. Currently live in Edinburgh - which is wonderful: beautiful city, fantastic history and architecture; lots going on. 2 children in schools. The catch with New Zealand is it's so far away from most other places, catch with Edinburgh is the weather. Got lots more places to find.
