HI Guys

New to the travel pod, so just wanted to say hello. I'm working on a travel portal listing geart deals on flights, hotels and packages. I would welcome you guys to visit the site. I would like some feedback if possible. I'm more curious to know what makes a website great. Is it the deals, the articles, the layout..ect. In short, what makes you go back. So if u have time please take a look.

..and let me know what you think. it's almost complete but it's still work in progress.

HI Lyric

Thanks for the Feedback, i really appreciate it. At this stage yes i do run it on my own. A lot of work but i'm sure it will benefit me down the road. As for the ads, i'm not sure why it's say's that. It good be a google thing really. I've never seen it before. Would you return to that site, if you had to. Just curious to know.

Very neat lay-out. Im just worried that when the time comes and the site will be popular, then it might changed and alot of cookies coming out in the screen.

Im a member of a trave guide portal as well and I love it. Im interested to join your site. Whats the deals of joining? You can visit my site at: http://www.reymos.wordpress.com

I might be of help to you!

if you have lastminute deals, you can send them to me and i will add them to the site. we can also do a link exchange as well. I don't sell any of the packages, just list them from various sites.

Looks good indead. I did find some server errors when clicking around. Check the link you have under http://www.iheartvacation.com/index-1.html ´cape town´. You can run a spider simulator to check for broken links;-)

We also run a newly build website called http://www.go-cielo.com. Good luck!

Im wondering how you maintain your database of hotels? Im quite interested to have this kind of travel search engine for my home country. Frankly, the sites are really good, but Im curious how you derived financial gains from these sites.

Im a traveller myself and having these sites will greatly help me alot. Im interested to improve the sites by posting some of my images/photos during my travels. At present, Im currently residing in Northern Ireland and I maintain a travel blog for the places Ive visited. Having your sites could probably feature places in Northern Ireland.

What do you think?

Hi

Thanks for the advice. Could you tell me what link directed you to travigo. As for the site. What i'm really aiming for is really a site where people can find cheap deals, flights ect. It's more of a listing page really. I don't sell any packages, flights or anything like that. This site is directed to the canadian market really. I make my income of adsense and commission junction. I'm in no way trying to compete with the big boys. what i've noticed in canada are that there are lots of canadians searching for the best possible deals. So this site is more of a redirect page. Please if you have anymore suggestions, please feel free to let me know. I really appreciate it. Thanks

Hi there

thank you for the input. Like you said i do not want to become an affiliate link site. I'm trying to keep my affiliate links to a minimum. the links i have so far, westjet, airfrance are more towards the canadian market. they key like you said is attracting more visitors. bear in mind i've only had this site up for 2 months. it's starting to get visitors. i know it takes time.
any ideas on how to keep the site updated and fresh.
