Cozumel to Hotel Zone

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 2 Joined: 7-August 09 Member No.: 293694 Nominate me as a Local Expert	Hi all, need some assistance. Will be flying into Cozumel later this month, but need to stay just outside Cancun hotel zone, I know you can take the ferry across to Playa Del Carmen, and then transport, upto zone, any tips? - Can I arrange all travel arrangements before I leave? Thanking all in advance.

Tripper Group: Local Expert Posts: 2002 Joined: 4-June 06 Member No.: 2195	What a convoluted way to get to Cancun! Yes, you take the ferry to Playa del Carmen, that runs every hour. Get off the ferry. go right ahead and turn right on Fifth Avenue (Quinta Avenida). Just a couple of blocks down is the bus station, with buses to Cancun leaving several times an hour. There is one that goes to the Hotel Zone (Zona Hotelera) along Boulevard Kukulcán, which passes every hotel. It's about a 40 minute drive to Cancun, so a taxi would be quite expensive. There will be plenty of people nearby you can ask, as well as others doing exactly what you will be doing, so you just can't get lost. -------------------- .

Thanks for info....I know it's a 'convoluted' way to get to Cancun, but flights are quite a bit cheaper to Cozumel
