I've been to Cuba a few times already and I have to say that I always felt safe travelling around. The police is really hard on anyone that attemps to do anything to a tourist so even bad people tend to refrain from doing anything to you. I travelled around during day and night and in both cases nothing ever happened nor did I ever felt unsafe so you should have a great time over there! Cienfuegos is a really nice place to visit, not alot to do if you stay for too long but very interesting still! Varadero is the tourists prefered place to go, so if you want to see real cube I wouldn't recommend it but still it has some beautiful beaches and everybody is so so friendly!! -------------------- Speak the truth, and speak it ever. Food can be tricky to find - we ate a lot of Ramen noodles! Be sure to check out Vinales. People in cuba are allowed to rent out a room in their house - look out for blue triangles on the doors to let you know they rent rooms. You stay at someone's house and they feed you as well. It's a great way to meet Cuban people.

The man is a legend in the cigar world. Best LCDH in Havana is at the hotel Conde Villanueva. Cheers!
