Turkish food isn't all kebabs and meze, though they're fantastic too. Been-there readers of Telegraph Online suggest great places to eat and drink across the country.

I've only visited two of them.

The Pudding Shop in İstanbul was, of course, featured in the book and film Midnight Express and this contributed to the continuing reputation of the restaurant, and

on several occasions enjoyed barbecued mackerel on fresh, warm bread at the quayside beside the Galata Bridge.

Bread is fantastic in Turkey. Also all kind of deserts smile.gif
But why did you say kebab is not traditional food? If not kebab then what?
