This is a pretty funny list of the world's biggest things...

Biggest lobster, biggest velvet Elvis, biggest high school, biggest monkey costume run...

http://www.professionaltravelguide.com/Worlds-Largest-2008

Is your town home to the world's biggest anything?

Ottawa is definitely home to the world's longest outdoor skating rink, and we won't let Winnipeg tell us any different!

Grrrrrrr!

Miami can claim the largest and busiest cruise ship port in the world.

Miami has the oldest European building in the western hemisphere. Called The Ancient Spanish Monastery, It was built in Spain in 1133-1141 and then brought to the US piece by piece and rebuilt in the 1950s.

Since 1968, as a result of the consolidation of the city and county government (and a corresponding expansion of the city limits to include almost the entire county), Jacksonville, Florida, has been the largest city in land area in the contiguous United States.

Why doesn't Sweden have the largest Swedish coffee pot? Come to think of it, I have no idea what a Swedish coffee pot looks like.

This isn't on that California list, but I forgot to mention the world's largest thermometer in Baker, California.

I got a picture of it on a day that it was 122 degrees F driving back from Las Vegas.
