Some new parents might feel intimidated by traveling with a baby. So far I haven't tried it but I would surely give it a go! Forget strollers! What a pain if you're on the road with a wee one small enough to carry. There are so many benefits to wearing your baby!

Sling babies;

cry less, learn more, are more quickly socialized, are more 'organized'.....

and much more!

As a new parent I've been into finding the right baby wrap, sling or carrier that suits us both. That got me into researching the long and interesting history of baby wearing. Actually, it's pretty fascinating. I've seen plenty of women and children carrying wee ones during overseas trips and got to thinking, if they have been doing it that way for centuries, why is the North American society so attached to strollers? Convenience? Laziness?

I couldn't agree more! I wear my baby whenever we go out and not just for traveling. I wear her to go shopping, or even go to the local tea house to relax with friends. She enjoys it much more than sitting in a stroller. She can just relax and look around. It is also easy on me because it leaves my hands free. I also find it indispensible for travel. I have carried my baby in this way on several trips around China.

I saw a lady at the airport coming from Iqaluit wearing the baby parka! Never have I seen that before in my life, I was amazed and impressed!
