Many cultures believe that being overweight or obese as a sign of wealth and happiness.
I myself have been the subject of many oogling and squeezing of flesh and rubbing of buddha tummies through my travels...but I was shocked when I read this article. Most people would assume that attending a fat farm would be a place to lose weight, but in Mauritiana it is quite the opposite...force feeding young girls to make them more desirable!
FAT FARMI would catergorise this as a form of child abuse. I am glad to read that this is a practice that is dying out as the new generation's way of thinking changes...
THESE GIRLS ARE NOT TURKEYS THAT YOU PLUMP UP FOR THANKSGIVING!!!!!!
