It's not my typical fare, but I've been listening to Lights a lot recently after finding her in iTunes. Her music has a pretty cool beat. Not quite electronic, but a little more than generic pop.

"Lights" thats a strange name...

im listening to Algebra atm although i no longer am a huge fan of r'n'b Algebra has gotten me requainted again. i discovered this site which is perfect for me (bein that im a soul music luver) called soultracks and have found people on there i never knew existed.
Along with Algebra im listening to Heston, Amos Lee, Newton Falkner and Monica Blaire plus i got interested in Esmee Denters who launch her career via youtube coz she is the most watched person on there or something and Justin Timberlake has signed her to his record label

Is this her only album? I don't know much about her just that she is a new sensation! I heard her being interviewed on AFN Radio the other day! She sounds lovely!

i love Warwick Avenue! most of the songs are about heartbreak on her debut album and i read that "Mercy" is about a one night stand she had...

Cool!

So what else would you recommend for a depleted music collection that needs an update?

well my recent cd pur-chases have been very few (i download like 90% of the music i have)

but i have bought a few cd's

Duffy's - Rockferry
Radiohead's - best of
Vanessa Amorosi's - Somewhere in the Real World

oh i thought i had bought more laugh.gif

depends what type of music you like hun
my taste varies constantly although i immediately gravitate towards soul/blues music

Hmm, I think Duffy, I am also going to re-purchase Manic Street Preacher's first album, as I like them! And not sure... I just dont get to hear about too much stuff! May be Coldplay's new album!
Mike likes the Dave Matthews Band and Jack Johnson and I got him a Marc Bolan album and James Blunt recently!

Oh do you! Well I must admit I should be a bit more open minded then and try to listen to some, he has a lot of albums but doesn't listen to music very often so albums only get played if I put them on! I think the last one I bought was RHCP's last one! Oh I did get Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol and an old Squeeze album!
