can anyone advise the costs and best way to get from angel falls in venezuela to rio de janeiro in brazil?

The obvious answer here is flying back to Caracas and connecting to Rio. This is the only way if you have limited time and plenty of cash.

Angel Falls and Canaima seem to have no surface connection yet. None the less, you can do the whole trip by land from Puerto Bolivar. There is a rudimentary road through the forest to Boa Vista and on to Manaus in Brazil. It's about 12 hours from Bolivar to the Brazilian border, 3 more hours to Boa Vista, then 12 hours to Manaus. It's a five hour flight from Manaus to Rio. When I lived in Rio we always considered that Manaus was half way to Miami.
