Costa Rica Lodging, availability of lodging without reservations

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 4 Joined: 1-January 10 Member No.: 621291 Nominate me as a Local Expert	I will be arriving in Costa Rica on Feb 1, via the Liberia Airport. We are interested in the Guanacaste region, beach areas between Tamarindo and north. Looking for affordable lodging, B&B's, close to or on the beaches. How hard is it to find them without reservations. Any suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated. Info on getting around would be helpful as well!
