I am looking for advice. I am travelling from UK to NYC then onwards to Canada. I have return flights from Manchester to Newark for 2 weeks. During this time I am travelling from Penn Station to Montreal on the Adriondack. After my stay I am flying from Ottowa direct to Newark to catch my flight back to Manchester.

Can anyone please advise what I need to with regards to Visa's and showing my return details at the border. I have read up on the internet but am getting confused. I have not done a trip like this before and want to make sure I get in to Canada as I am visiting family there.

Any advice anyone can provide will be most helpful.

If you are a British citizen, you should have no problems entering Canada. As the Canadian Immigration Website indicates:

Many people do not require a visa to visit Canada. These include:
British citizens and British Overseas Citizens who are re-admissible to the United Kingdom;

I would probably be more concerned with possible hassles on entering the US rather than Canada. To be on the safe side, having a fairly detailed itinerary on paper probably won't hurt in any case.
