G'day all,

Just a quick post I found this web page thru a friend and have looked at it and it is a good indicator as to the size of Australia is in relation to Europe.

This does not include Russia or Norway Sweden etc but will give u a general size so when planing that Short Road trip from Sydney to Brisbane and you find that 12 hours later you have arrived. so hope this helps with some planning

cheers Stewart

Hi Stweart,
Indeed interesting. Really huge. I am invited to visit Australia by a very good friend of mine who lives in Sydney, but we have many relatives and other friends in Melbourn as well. Is Tasmania an interesting island?

Gladly I will Stewart.
But first I am visiting India....and now I gather info. I wonder if I could find cheaper tickets and fly over to Australia while in India. Of course it has to be a reliable company.Any suggestions?

alternatively if you dont want to compare it to Europe, Australia is a little smaller than the USA - vast difference in population though
