What do you mean Gerre?
I feel guilty myself, and I could never imagined that although sent a week before Bloomer reached London, the book would arrive with a delay even if I had it posted EXPRESS!

i meant brian's idea sounds like a plan smile.gif

I have sent Kathryn an e-mail and hopefully, if she is able to help out, Bloomer can get her contact info and pass it on to his friend.

Meanwhile, I hope the Pod is having a good time! wink.gif

I need to watch out in these threads I 'ignore' - getting talked about left, right and centre tongue.gif laugh.gif

Only joking - I got Brian's e-mail earlier, and replied already to say sure that's fine smile.gif I await my mission!! (and in the meantime, going to read as much of this thread as I can! Sometimes I skip over the really long ones that have been going for ages...sorry!)

PS. I messaged Sian a couple of weeks ago as hadn't seen her around in a while - also to tell her I'm moving back to Scotland, so we'll practically be neighbours soon! Anyway, she did write back,, and she did say she doesn't have much internet access at the moment, but all is fine smile.gif

Glad to hear that all is well with Sian! You are moving back to Scotland??

Thanks also for passing on your address ...... I have e-mailed it to bloomer so hopefully when he checks in next time he will be able to pass it on to his friend.

Oh and what a strange thing to learn your last name now...... never thought about what it might be and sort of expected something like "77" ........ hahahah!

I've just read the whole thread now, and I feel like a fraud sad.gif So many people waiting ages here, and then I got it by default, when I hadn't been participating in this thread - sorry all you who have been waiting some time!

I can't believe I skipped over this one all the time, as it's such a good idea, and I will sooooo do it justice for you all! I can't wait to get the pod now *excited scream*

Cool let me know when Bloomer picks it up and passes it on (hopefully soon, as I'm moving back to Scotland in March! Yes Brian - new job!)

And Brian, my surname IS '77' - the name you got was the Irish translation - that's what the postman here will understand tongue.gif laugh.gif

Ok Miss 77, you seem so excited, so it is sure the POD will be in SAFE hands in short time!

I think there was a mix up somewhere. I arrived London December 23, and on January 10, I flew to India. . .Darn, woulda loved to read it and show it Rajastan.
Got the info for the next in line, and I'll let you know when it is on it's way.
I'll have another adventure in the summer, maybe it can reach me by then!

I went back to check and be sure of the exact date I mailed the envelope. It was on the 5th January and it was sent by Express mail. I just wonder why the book did not reach it's destination promptly.
The only reason I can think of, is probably the snow in London.
I was told from the post office that one thing was for sure and they could guarantee me - the envelope would surely be at the airport in Athens the same evening.
So, .....where is the envelope now? Who is having it next?

Things were at a bit of a standstill with the snow in the UK - plus there were postal strikes too. It all seems to be fine now though. Bloomer, thanks for organising to send it on to me, and I'm sure you'll get it again soon, have fun in India smile.gif

Yes, Kathyrn will be an excellent host I am sure!

But just to clarify...... one does not have to be going on a trip to be able to contribute to the Pod. To try and get as many folk involved as possible, it was always the belief that just including a blog entry and photos from even your home area would be enough. There are lots of us who likely have never visited where other Podders all live so such entries will always be interesting to someone! smile.gif

Yeah, that's cool - depending on when I get it, it'll likely be a Dublin entry from me, so that I can get it to Seal more in line with his expected timeline smile.gif I'll see though... wink.gif

Kathryn believe it or not, the "Pod" was the first thought I had this morning when getting up from bed. I was so anxious about its luck thinking that it got stuck for such a long time, that I thought later on in the afternoon to get in touch with sb and ask about its luck.

I am so pleased that it reached you,.....do take a photo of it and post it for us if you have time, just to give life to it before writing anything!
I felt So guilty that it did not reach on time when it left my hands even though it left by Express mail, and it had a whole week from Athens to the United Kingdom. It was unbelievable!

Anyway, I trust you so much that it is sure that you will give it life again, you will soon lead it on the right flight for the next member to get it.
Thanks Kathryn for letting us know! hug.gif
