Hello, I am staying in Siena for 4 days in September and would love to visit some hot springs. Can you tell me is access the the Petriolo springs free? What is the best way to get there driving from Siena? Is it easy to find? Thanks

Here is a blog from SLow travel with more info about the Petriolo Springs. YOu can drive from Siena get a map and find the SS223 then the exit is Casale di Pari, Pari . From Siena the exit is Pari on the left side of the road, immediately after the high bridge over the thermal baths and before the tunnel.

There is only one of the four original baths left but it is
popular with locals who soak in the hot mineral water where it cascades down the bank via a number of artificial pools into the Farma River.

Just been at those springs, very nice! You'll find it on Google Maps when searching "terme di petriolo". Following the instructions from suz123nj will definitive give the right direction. And when you smell sulfur you are there! Just down a little viaduct.

tip: don't take any metal in the water it comes out terrible
